Sonny's Camp N Travel is teaming up with the non profit organization, "Moving up with downs" in a charitable golf tournament. The proceeds from this tournament will help start the foundation of major projects the organization has for in the future. You can be involved in more than one way! You can sponsor the tournament by purchasing a 'hole', or you can play in the tournament for opportunities to win great prizes!
What is "Moving Up With Downs"?
We have assembled a dedicated Board of Directors and family partners, along with private financial supporters that help MUWD with its rapid growth. It is the group's goal to develop a residential facility that will house 30 - 50 residents on a full time basis. MUWD has as a secondary vision to expand to other special needs groups as the program develops.
Along with housing, MUWD is looking for ways to facilitate career and personal development through partnerships with community businesses and organizations. These partnerships will enable people with disabilities to contribute to society through meaningful employment and increased independence, self-confidence and dignity. The creation of these service and business ventures can return both social and financial dividends.
